13. Now the top of the support, the small paper circle and the
edge the edge of the hut should all be in line. Check this
with a ruler and measure how long your diagonal wood supports are going
to be. If you are following the plan they should be 12 cms long but
if you are using your own camembert base they may be shorter or longer.
14. Measure and cut seven diagonal supports. These can be made from brochette
sticks or long matches (the type used for lighting log fires) or simply
straight-looking twigs. Cut out seven little notches around
the side of the hut. Glue the diagonal supports into place in the notches,
on the small paper circle and at the pointed top of the central support.
Be patient! This is the most delicate part of the project. Don't try to rush
anything!
15. Measure and cut out a circular roof of 8.5 cms diameter from thick
paper. Cut out a straight radial line from the centre to the edge.
With a 50 centimes coin draw a small circle in the centre and cut that
out too.
