Luebeck

Luebeck was the capital of theHanseatic League. It was known for its salt and fish trade. The fish was mostly herring. It was the most prosperous city in the Hansa because of its geographic position: most of the trade routes passed throught it. It also traded in grain, timber, honey and amber.
